1 student injured when hit by bus near Janesville
JANESVILLE, Iowa (AP) — Authorities say a student getting off a school bus in rural Janesville in eastern Iowa was injured after being hit by the bus.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened shortly before 4 p.m. on Monday. The patrol in a preliminary accident report says students were getting off the bus when “for some reason” one student was struck by the bus.
The student’s name and condition weren’t immediately released.
An email from The Associated Press to Janesville Superintendent Steve Gray wasn’t returned Wednesday evening.
Janesville is about 10 miles north of Cedar Falls.
