2 convicted sex offenders to be released in La Crosse

Police: both offenders assaulted children they were babysitting

Two convicted sex offenders will be released in La Crosse on Monday, November 10.

La Crosse police said Wayne H. Larson, 53, and Stephern J. Weissenberger, 45, both sexually assaulted young boys while babysitting them.

Larson was convicted of first degree sexual assault of a child and attempted first degree sexual assault of a child. Weissenberger was convicted of attempted first degree sexual assault and third degree sexual assault.

La Crosse police said they will live at 416 Caledonia Street in La Crosse and have the following special supervision conditions: Comply with Department of Corrections & Supervised Release Rules. Comply with standard sex offender rules and cooperate with the lifetime GPS electronic monitoring program. Face–to-face contact with law enforcement required, comply with all requirements and lifetime registrant of WI Sex Offender Registration Program.
