2 Ohio men arrested for allegedly stealing fish tank
Police in Ohio arrested two men on a motorcycle for stealing an aquarium from a pet store.
A Facebook post by the Niles Police Department reports that an officer was responding to the store after the theft when the officer passed the two men on the motorcycle, its passenger holding a large, boxed fish tank. The Facebook post includes a photo of the two men on the motorcycle with the tank.
When the officer turned around to follow them, the passenger jumped off the bike, dropping the aquarium and breaking it, police said.
Another officer found the motorcycle, and a “nervous-looking” man was behind a home pruning a tree with his bare hands, the department reported. That man was identified as the driver of the motorcycle.
Arrested were Mitchell Adkins, 52, and Christopher Binion, 46. They’ve both pleaded not guilty to theft charges.
