2014 Freedom Fest tickets available
Huey Lewis and the News headline concert
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — An annual festival is celebrating our freedom by honoring those who have served our country.
In its 7th year, Freedom fest in La Crosse is expected to be bigger than ever. With Huey Lewis and the News headlining the concert, organizers anticipate more than 6,000 people this year. Of course it’s not all about the music, there’s also a special presentation honoring those who have died for our country since September 11, 2001.
“It gives us a moment to look back and reflect back on the ultimate sacrifice some of our service members have made for our state as well as well as our country for our freedom,” said Event Coordinator, Thomas Foster.
Freedom Fest kicks of June 14th at Veteran’s Memorial Stadium on the U-W La Crosse Campus. Tickets are selling quickly, as of Tuesday morning there were only general admission tickets left. Tickets are available at at the Freedom Fest website and area festival food locations until noon on Friday.
All proceeds from the event go to veteran causes and scholarships..
