23 new COVID-19 cases announced in La Crosse County

7th consecutive day with 20 or more cases confirmed

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – 23 new COVID-19 cases are being confirmed in La Crosse County Monday.

It was the 7th day in a row that La Crosse County reported 20 or more cases in a day.

290 La Crosse County residents have tested positive for the virus and 180 of those cases have not yet recovered.

More than half the county’s cases have been confirmed in the last week.

As the number of cases continues to spread, health officials say you can play a roll in stopping the spread.

“One of the most significant solutions could be simply the fabric facemask. And the requirement perhaps the businesses, for them to require employees and their customers to wear fabric face coverings,” said La Crosse County Health Department director Jen Rombalski.

There are 4 people that are hospitalized in the County.

But 3 of those are at the hospital in an effort to decrease the spread of the virus, rather than the severity of the cases.
