$250,000 cash bail set in Wis. stabbing case
TWO RIVERS, Wis. (AP) — Bail has been set at $250,000 cash for a Two Rivers man accused of fatally stabbing his stepson.
Police say 34-year-old Koyoko Perry was stabbed during a fight early Sunday in Two Rivers. Perry tried to drive away from the crime scene, but crashed his vehicle into two other vehicles in a driveway.
Fifty-four-year-old Jesse Moreno Jr. appeared in Manitowoc County Circuit Court Monday by video from jail. Defense attorney Anthony Lambrecht argued for $50,000 cash bail.
WOMT radio reports Moreno was ordered to have no contact with his wife, the victim’s mother, or two witnesses to the crime.
Manitowoc County District Attorney Jacalyn LaBre says she anticipates filing a charge of first-degree intentional homicide against Moreno.
