$25,500 donated from Dahl Subaru to La Crosse Area Family YMCA
Donation follows fundraising effort at the dealership
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – The La Crosse Area Family YMCA is getting some support from a local business.
Staff from Dahl Subaru were at the Dahl Family YMCA Monday to donate $25,500.
That money will support food programs for the organization.
More than 1,000 meals are served each day throughout the summer.
The support comes as the effort adapts to meet the needs of the community.
“We go to city parks, we’re sometimes at mobile home parks serving youth, just where ever they are so that we can get the food to them. Because there is a lot of lack of transportation. Parents still need to work. Kids aren’t at school and still haven’t been at school. And so we need to meet them where they’re at,” said La Crosse Area Family YMCA director of youth development Jennie Melde.
The money comes from Dahl Subaru’s ‘Share the Love’ fundraising effort.
