3 children hurt in school bus crash

TOWN OF SPRINGFIELD, Wis. (AP) — Three children have been injured in a collision between a school bus and pickup truck in Dane County.

The accident happened Wednesday morning on Highway 19 in the Town of Springfield. Sheriff’s officials say the pickup driven by a Waunakee man crossed the centerline and hit the bus.

WISC-TV says two of the six children on the school bus had minor injuries and were treated at the scene. One of two children in the pickup, a 13-year-old, was taken by ambulance to the hospital.
