$30,000 match supports Salvation Army’s Red Kettle campaign in La Crosse County
Donations are also accepted online
LA CROSSE COUNTY, Wis. (WKBT) – A match day is supporting the Salvation Army of La Crosse County’s Red Kettle campaign.
The $30,000 match from is the Salvation Army’s largest of the season, thanks to Kwik Trip and an anonymous donor.
The Red Kettle campaign makes up about a third of the charity’s annual budget.
For one volunteer out ringing bells, every donation is a big one.
“People are giving anyway, but I think they like the fact that their money is doubled on match day too,” said bell ringers Peg Binash.
While the match day from Kwik Trip and the donor was for one day, bell ringers will be around through Christmas Eve collection donations.
Another match day is coming on Saturday as well, when $10,000 dollars of donations will be matched thanks to J.F. Brennan.
A virtual red kettle is available online.
Check it out on the Salvation Army of La Crosse County’s website.
