3rd Street Aid Station to help public for Oktoberfest

Located in Subway parking lot on 3rd and Pearl Streets in La Crosse

La Crosse police announced the 3rd Street Aid Station will be set up to help the public during Oktoberfest again this year.

The Aid Station will be located in the parking lot of Subway on the corner of 3rd and Pearl Streets will be staffed from 7 p.m. to 4 a.m. on Thursday and Friday and from 6 p.m. to 4 a.m. on Saturday.

La Crosse police said the mission of the 3rd Street Aid Station is to “create a friendly environment where professionals can assist others in need and help provide a safe and uneventful weekend in our community.” This will be the eighth year of operation for the 3rd Street Aid Station.

“It’s for first aid, it’s for charging cell phones, directions, to right over half a block a way to the taxi loading area is, to our buses that will take you out of the area. if you’re lost if you need information, if you need to use the restrooms, this is where you come,” said La Crosse Police Department Captain Robert Lawrence.

This is the 8th year the aid station has been open during Oktoberfest.
