$4.1 million referendum on ballot for Blair-Taylor

If approved, daycare, classroom space would be added

BLAIR, Wis. (WKBT) – A $4.1 million dollar referendum is on the ballot for voters in the Blair-Taylor School District.

Money from the referendum would be used to add a daycare facility, classroom space and a baseball field.

The playground, storage space and some roof replacement would also be a part of the improvements.

There would be no tax increase for homes in the district.

District leaders say the area is a day care desert.

In trying to help that concern for people living in the district, they found other ways they could improve.

“We know that’s a challenge, but because of that we started having more discussions on what it would look like to put a day care on the facility. That expanded to the board asking us to take a look at all areas of need,” said Blair-Taylor School District superintendent Jeff Eide.

Details about the referendum are available on the the Blair-Taylor School District’s website.
