70 mph limit most likely on interstates, Hwy. 41
MADISON, WI (AP) — Wisconsin’s four interstates and Highway 41 to the Fox Valley are the roads most likely to have 70 mph speed limits if a proposal to raise the limit passes the state Legislature
That’s according to a preliminary report from the state Department of Transportation that Republican Assembly Speaker Robin Vos gave to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Vos is backing Republican Rep. Paul Tittl’s proposal to raise the speed limit, but Republican Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald has said he has no plans to bring up the measure any time soon.
Gov. Scott Walker’s administration has been noncommittal.
