$7,000 donated to help prevent child abuse in La Crosse area

Dahl Subaru donates money to Family & Children's Center

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — Dahl Subaru and Subaru of America donated $7,000 to the Family & Children’s Center in La Crosse.

The money will be used towards child abuse prevention services.

Customers who bought or leased a new Subaru during the holidays could select from a list of charities to receive a donation of $250 from Subaru of America as part of the “Share the Love” event.

“This year was the first year we could choose a hometown charity, and with great fanfare,” said Dahl Subaru General Manager Tyler Dahl. “Our guests were absolutely elated we keep the money locally to support the kids here at home.”

“Family and Children’s Center has four fund-development programs, meaning that we have to raise dollars in order to run those programs,” said Diane Weigel, of the Family & Children’s Center. “This donation will help us fund three of those programs: Healthy Families, Stepping Stones and Hope Academy.”

Subaru of America will donate a total of $15 million to participating charities this year.
