75-year-old woman killed when run over by daughter

LAKE MILLS, Iowa (AP) — An elderly Lake Mills woman has died after she was accidentally run over by her daughter.

The Globe Gazette reports that 75-year-old Betty Harris died Friday morning after her daughter, 49-year-old Darla Andrews, unknowingly ran over her as she backed out of her driveway in her Jeep Cherokee.

The Iowa State Patrol says Andrews found her mother lying in the road near the driveway when she returned home.
