$7,500 donation supports La Crosse’s St. Clare Health Mission
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — A $7,500 donation is set to support a volunteer health organization in our area.
The donation was given to the Saint Clare Health Mission by Toyota of La Crosse.
The clinic is staffed by volunteers who provide medical care to the community members that can’t afford it.
“Someone for example who is diabetic, and can’t afford insulin, we will buy insulin, and we’ll give it to that person, so this money will go a long way helping our patients access health care and get medications that are needed,” said Sandy Brekke, St. Clare Health Mission clinic director.
18,000 people have visited Saint Clare Health Mission in the past 26 years.
The money will do more than provide health care opportunities in the clinic’s building.
