A/C Technicians working overtime

LA CROSSE, Wis. — Technicians are swamped with calls from people needing repairs to their air conditioner.

Schneider Heating and Air Conditioning has 11 technicians that are working extra hours answering calls.  With the heat wave, many people are running their air conditioners longer and older units are giving out.  Scheider is also finding a lot of plugged air conditioners.

There are some things you can do to make sure your a-c is working for hot days.  “Make sure you are having it cleaned and checked every year, having a service guy out there, looking things over, cleaning it up and checking your filters, your charge, making sure everything is going to work great for you when it’s hot like this,” says Technician Jeremy Erickson.

Schneider tries to answer every call the day it’s made which is keeping their staff busy these days.
