A Green Bay Packer makes a local appearance for charity

Green Bay Packer’s safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix was at Champions Riverside Resort in Galesville Sunday to raise money for the Gilbert Brown Foundation.

With the help of the foundation, 11-year-old Caden Dahl is scheduled to have his eighth surgery this August. He met retired Packer Gilbert Brown when he was only three weeks old.

Caden introduced Clinton-Dix at the event, and they joked about a slight misunderstanding over a certain accessory.

Cadan said, “Gilbert told me that this guy was ‘gonna’ wear a fanny pack, and he didn’t.”

Clinton-Dix explained, “The only reason why I did not wear my fanny pack is because I forgot, and because the last time I wore it Gilbert Brown gave me some ‘problems’ with my fanny pack. He picked on me the entire time. But Gilbert Brown is one of the greatest people I’ve had the chance to be around.”

To which Caden replied, “So you didn’t forget it…”

Autographed items were $50 each, with a portion of the proceeds going to the Gilbert Brown Foundation. The foundation supports more than 156 children’s charities in Wisconsin.
