A Nice Weekend Ahead!

High pressure will bring a pleasant weekend to the region.

We’ll see a clear sky and lows in the lower to middle 20s Friday night. The exception will be in those traditional cool spots in the east and north. Lows there could get as could get as cold as the lower to middle teens.

As we head through the rest of the weekend, look for plenty of sunshine Saturday as highs top out in the lower to middle 40s.

We could see a bit more cloud cover Sunday as a weak disturbance approaches from the north. Look for highs in the lower to middle 40s.

Looking Ahead… Monday is looking mostly cloudy as that weak system tracks by to our north.

Forecast models continue to struggle with tracking a potential storm system that could impact our area centered around Tuesday. This is common this far out, when the energy with the storm is still west of Alaska. Some models have the storm tracking a bit farther north than 24 hours ago, which would increase the chance for precipitation in our area. Others still keep it south/east. We should get better model data as the potential storm approaches the US mainland over the weekend. For now, we’ll keep at least a slight chance of snow or rain/snow mix in the forecast for Tuesday and Tuesday night with highs in the upper 30s.

Wednesday still looks dry with decreasing clouds. Highs will be in the upper 30s to near 40F.

Another storm system could produce more rain and/or snow later in the week, especially on Friday and Saturday. Much of Thanksgiving could end up dry, with just a slight chance for a light mix by Thursday afternoon and night. High temps look to be in the upper 30s to near 40F Thursday through Saturday, with lows in the upper 20s to low 30s.

Be sure to stay tuned for updates concerning next weeks forecast, especially if you have travel plans for the Thanksgiving holiday. In the meantime, have a great weekend!
