A perfect day to kick off the farmer’s market season in La Crosse
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — The sun was shining on Cameron Park Friday as market goers shopped for fresh produce as well as flowers, baked goods, meats and dairy. Also for sale were canned goods and arts and crafts.
But organizers say it’s about much more than the buying and selling of local goods. Market Manager Linda Vale said, “Well, what’s so great about the market is it’s not just about connecting people with fresh produce and food, which it is. It’s also a meeting place. As you can see, we’ve got story time. We’ve got music. We’ve got groups of friends just gathering around.”
The market also offers free live music and yoga classes for you to enjoy.
The farmers market is held Friday evenings from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday mornings from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
