Meet The Team

Chris PalmerChris began his career at WTOL TV in Toledo, Ohio as an account executive.  He has also worked at TV stations in Las Vegas, Orlando and Memphis in various sales and management roles.  For almost a decade Chris worked for a media technology company and consulted with hundreds of television stations around the country.  During this time I worked with over 100 stations and visited 47 states.

Chris is a graduate of The University of Toledo and The Ohio State University.

Chris has been married to his wife Anne since 1998.  They have 3 children (Jackson 12, Grant 12, and Chase 10).

Favorite movie?  Anything by Martin Scorsese.

Do you have a personal motto or quote that inspires you?   Get Up, Dress Up, Show Up

Favorite way to spend a day off?  With my family doing anything they want to.

Why do you love your job?   I enjoy business and how companies work.  In my career I have had the opportunity work with many great small, medium and large companies.  Now I have the opportunity to take what I have learned and run my own company.

Favorite food?  Italian

Favorite vacation spot?   Virgin Gorda, BVI

Favorite book?  The Bible and anything by John Grisham or Stephen King

Scott Kellum SizedScott began his career at KTVO in Kirksville, Mo as an Account Executive and worked his way up to Local Sales Manager,  even spending time On-Air as a Morning Show Co-Host.  He has also worked in Quincy, Il., The Quad Cities, and Springfield, Il in Management Roles.  Scott was born in Marshfield, Wi. and is happy to be back in my favorite state.  Scott is a graduate of Western Illinois University with degrees in English Literature and Marketing.

Scott has been married to his Wife since 2009 and have two wonderful boys.

Favorite movie?  The Good, The Bad, And the Ugly

Do you have a personal motto or quote that inspires you?   What Gets Measured, Gets Done.

Favorite way to spend a day off?  Hunting, Outdoors

Why do you love your job?   I grew up in the industry and loved watching my mother make connections with business owners, for me its carrying on the torch and getting to build relationships in the community.

AgAshley Gebhart is a La Crosse, Wisconsin native, graduating from Central High School and then getting her undergraduate degree from The University of Minnesota. Before joining Phase 3 digital, Ashley spent 8 years working with a diverse list of A-list clients in Los Angeles, CA and brings back to the Midwest her Web Development, Graphic Design and Digital Marketing experience from the West Coast.

Here at Phase 3 Digital, Ashley works closely with both our sales and fulfillment teams to ensure that client expectations are clearly conveyed and that campaign strategies are crafted around achieving their goals.

Ashley’s love for the midwest brought her back home to La crosse where she enjoys being outdoors, running (2 half marathons, and 1 full marathon), spending time with family, friends, and every cute dog that crosses her path.

Brittany Sommerfeldt grew up in West Salem, Wisconsin, and graduated from Winona State University with a B.A. in Graphic Design. After college, Brittany came back to La Crosse to pursue her career in graphic design. Her passion for helping local businesses has grown, giving her opportunities to create brands and manage social media accounts for local campaigns.

At Phase 3 Digital, Brittany works collaboratively with the digital marketing strategist and sales team to bring client campaigns to life and to fulfill their expectations. Her graphic design experience helps bring fresh ideas to the table for each client to help them reach their goals.

When Brittany isn’t working, she enjoys trying new crafts. Most of all she loves hiking and exploring new places with her family and dogs.

Payton grew up in Buffalo, Minnesota, and graduated from Winona State University with a BS in Marketing. After graduating college, Payton came to La Crosse to begin her professional career. She has always had a passion for helping others and making connections with people, which is why she decided to go into marketing. Growing up with 3 younger siblings, she learned how important it is to listen, learn from, and spread love to everyone around you.

Payton’s family includes her awesome mom, siblings Hannah (18), Avea (17), Jameson (13), and dog Stormi who she adopted 2 years ago. Stormi is a Husky/Australian Shepherd mix with blue eyes and tons of energy.

Favorite way to spend a day off? Going on adventures with her dog, spending time with family and friends, cooking, and traveling

Why do you love your job? Getting to connect with so many people, working as a team, helping others, and learning about different businesses

Carrie BrettingenCarrie is the senior marketing consultant with WKBT/Phase 3 Digital. Her 20+ years of customer service and team leadership have helped her develop a drive to help the businesses she works with. Carrie has always had an interest in marketing! While she began her media career in 2006, she was instrumental in past positions in creating newsletters, sales ideas and successful campaigns. Need an idea or new concept? Not sure where to start? Carrie will help you brainstorm ideas and create a campaign(s) to deliver measurable results.

Why do you love your job? I get to help businesses of all sizes grow! The creativity of not only helping develop complete campaigns but also seeing them come to fruition. I enjoy seeing the success my clients receive and knowing I’ve helped them get there. I get to learn about many different industries and build lasting relationships with my clients. Yes…I also love to see my commercials on TV!

Interesting Fact: When Carrie began her career, her Mom said it was perfect! When she was a toddler, she’d stop playing when the commercials came on and stand in front of the TV. As soon as they were over, she’d go back to playing. So yes, she has always had an interest in marketing!

Favorite activities: Spending time with family and friends, gardening, hiking and boating. She’s still trying to find a fun winter activity that doesn’t involve going out in the cold!

JulieJulie Schmidt has been helping local businesses grow in the Coulee Region for over a decade. She has an extensive background in traditional and non-traditional advertising and a love for all things digital. She believes her customers come first and is passionate about helping businesses exceed their goals. Julie loves collaborating with local business owners and determining strategies that result in an increase in profits. She loves meeting new people and is encouraged by any challenge.

In her free time, Julie loves to rough house and jump on her trampoline with her 7-year-old son. In her downtime, she likes to read and watch scary movies.

Steve Roth

Steve began his advertising career as an Account Executive selling cable advertising in Los Angeles and Southern California. Moving back to the La Crosse area, Steve began his broadcast advertising career with WKBT News 8. After a couple of other media opportunities, Steve is now back Home with WKBT News 8.

Steve graduated from the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse with a Business degree and a major in Marketing.

Steve has been married to his wife Leslie since 1999. They have three children, Morgan, Amber and Shane.
