With 11 freshmen, Wuensch expected some early growing pains as everyone learned how to play together, but he said the team has potential as they approach conference play.
“With what we have this year coming in, we’re going to try to play fast, up-tempo,” Wuensch said. “We have some really good three-point shooters, so we’ll try and take advantage of that, and then a couple decent size guys that we can get some post play.”
As a whole, the Cavaliers are shooting 40 percent, and less than 30 percent form beyond the arc.
Western opens up conference play next Wednesday.
