Aging Mastery Program to be presented virtually in La Crosse area

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — The Aging Mastery Program will be available again virtually to La Crosse area individuals 55 and older interested in making lifestyle changes.
The Aging & Disability Resource Center of La Crosse County is presenting the AMP in collaboration with Inclusa Inc. and Greater Wisconsin Agency on Aging Resources.
The National Council on Aging created AMP as a nationwide program based on the philosophy that lifestyle changes can produce big results, with improved health, economic security and overall well-being.
Trained facilitators and local subject matter experts will lead the five-week virtual program, which covers physical activity, sleep, healthy eating and hydration; financial fitness; medication management; advanced planning; healthy relationships; falls prevention, and community engagement.
Through a grant, the $290 program will be offered free to the first 20 participants registered. Classes will use Zoom videoconferencing beginning from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Sept. 2. Zoom training is available.
