Al’s Musky Challenge focuses on La Crosse kids

LA CROSSE (WKBT) — A yearly La Crosse Rotary project is reeling in a big win for the next generation.

Rotary member Al Louis presented the results of the 2022 Al’s Musky Challenge at the group’s weekly meeting at the Erickson Boys and Girls Club.

The challenge raised over $57,000 for La Crosse’s Boys and Girls Club.

The proceeds are split 50/50 between the Club and a new endowment fund to provide long-term resources for La Crosse’s youth.

“It’s all about the kids,” said Louis. “Today’s kids are tomorrow’s leaders and we need to give them all the support we can.”

Louis says during his fishing trip, he reeled in a 53-pound muskie.
