Alternate side parking exemption zone in La Crosse cancelled
LA CROSSE, WI — UW-La Crosse students will have to be a little more careful where they park this winter.
The city is cancelling the alternate side parking exemption near the campus.
The ordinance allowed drivers to park on both sides of the street overnight in the exemption zone, unless there was a snow emergency. However, the city says not enough people were moving their cars after a snowfall so they are rescinding the ordinance.
That means starting November first, all city streets are subject to alternate side parking rules.
