Altra Federal Credit Union holds second Give Back Day
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — Altra Federal Credit Union will hold its second Altra Gives Back Day on October 14, 2019.
During the Altra Gives Back Day, all Altra offices and the member contact center will be closed so employees can participate in a variety of community volunteer activities.
“Altra strives to make the communities we serve better places to live and one way we achieve that is through employee volunteerism,” said Altra President and Chief Executive Officer, Steve Koenen. Altra Gives Back Day is a way we can join together as a team and make a difference.”
The day was chosen because it is a federal holiday that financial institutions are regularly closed.
“We are excited to hold our second annual Altra Gives Back Day in our member communities nationwide,” said Altra Community Relations Manager, Shawn Hauser. “Helping the organizations in the markets we serve strengthens our communities and inspires our employees to give back.”
Over 300 local employees and over 100 employees nationwide will volunteer at more than 30 organizations, including food banks, animal shelters as well as outdoor trails to youth centers, nursing homes and random acts of kindness.
