Ambulance donated to Western Technical College in La Crosse
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — Western Technical College students will take learning on the road thanks to a recent donation.
Tri-State Ambulance donated an ambulance to the college yesterday.
The vehicle will be used to train students in the Emergency Medical Technician program.
The donation gives students a learning environment that will prepare them for working after graduation.
“We’ll even actually take them out on the street, drive around, with the students in the back, simulating care for patients so they get the full experience of what it’s like to be in the back of an ambulance,” said Kevin Dean, associate dean of public safety at Western Technical College.
Gundersen Health System also donated a motorized cot to go into the back of the ambulance.
