American Legion Riders hold silent auction fundraiser
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – A rumble filled the air this weekend as the American Legion Riders rode through.
On Sunday, the American Legion Riders of District 7 held a silent auction fundraiser at Castaway’s.
The funds go to the American Legion Legacy Scholarship, Camp American Legion, and Freedom Honor Flight.
Organizers are already planning for next year’s run, and they want everyone involved.
“We think there might be a perception that this is just for veterans, so we’re hoping to expand it next year so the public can understand that everybody’s invited to come with our ride,” says Vice President of the District 7 American Legion Riders Tim Hyma.
More than 40 riders took part in Saturday’s ride along 120 miles of road.
