Angel Giving Tree distribution helps families in La Crosse County
380 families, including 771 children received help.
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – Hundreds of gifts and food baskets are now in the hands of community members in need.
The Salvation Army of La Crosse County held a distribution today following the Angel Giving Tree effort.
Each present includes a brand-new outfit and the food baskets contain everything for a traditional Christmas dinner.
380 families, including 771 children received help.
“It’s been a wonderful outpouring from the community, which we greatly, greatly appreciate,” said Salvation Army of La Crosse County Major Alan Hellstrom.
The distribution also included some extra supplies to help families get by while their children are home from school for winter break.
