Ann Schindler

October 19, 1937 ~ July 20, 2022

Ann M. Schindler, 84, of Chatfield passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at Chosen Valley Care Center in Chatfield, with her family by her side.

Ann Marie Mcmahon SchindlerAnn Marie McMahon was born October 19, 1937, in Rochester to James and Elizabeth (Dempsey) McMahon. She grew up in rural Chatfield. She graduated from Chatfield High School in 1955. She attended two years of business school in Mankato. On September 14, 1957, she married her high-school sweetheart, Richard Schindler, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Chatfield. Ann worked for AFC Corp. in Chatfield for 25 years.

Ann was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church, and Altar Society, Red Hats group. She enjoyed bowling, golfing, crafting all types of cards and traveling on bus trips and on cruises. She loved to watch high school sporting events and MN Twins and Vikings.

Ann is survived by her husband, Richard; son, Dan (Marcia) of Chatfield; daughter, Deb (Dale) Simon of Stewartville; two grandchildren, Drew Schindler and Kelly Simon; brother, Bill (Maureen) McMahon of Chatfield; sister, Charlotte (James) Ryan of Chatfield, and sister in-law, Nancy McMahon of Chatfield.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Elizabeth, and three siblings, Jim, Joyce and Tom.

Funeral Mass for Ann will be 11 a.m. on Monday, July 25, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, in Chatfield, with Father McGrath and Father Richard Dornack officiating. Visitation will be 3-5 p.m. on Sunday at the church and also one hour before for service. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Chatfield.
