Aquinas Catholic Schools announce 2020-21 reopening plan

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – Aquinas Catholic Schools released its 2020-21 school year reopening plan Monday, August 3.

For grades PreK-6, students will attend in-person learning five days a week in cohort classrooms. Students and staff will need to follow all required safety protocols, including wearing state-mandated face coverings while at school. More details available here.

For grades 7-8, students will attend in-person learning five days a week in classrooms. Students will remain in their classrooms for lunch and will be provided mask breaks outside. More information is available here.

For students attending Aquinas High School, the year will begin with a hybrid in-person learning plan. The plan is designed to reduce the number of students by fifty percent in the school to allow for maximum social distancing. Students will be assigned to one of two groups, based on the family’s last name. Half of the students will attend school while the other half learn remotely.

School officials are also offering an at-home virtual learning option. Families may choose a one hundred percent virtual learning option. Students are required to commit to this plan for the entire first quarter. Families need to contact their school office by email to register for the virtual-only option by Wednesday, August 12.
