Aquinas, Cotter girls shine in Bishop John Paul Showcase

Aquinas girls basketball dominated Regis in the Bishop John Paul Showcase Saturday, earning a 94-18 win.

The top-ranked Blugolds opened the game on a 29-0 run and did not look back.

Lexi Donarski led the team with 23 points, with Courtney Becker adding 15 points and Macy Donarski scoring 11 points.

In other scores from the showcase, ninth-ranked Cotter girls improved to 9-0 with a 54-32 win over Newman Catholic.

The Cotter boys team beat Newman 71-65, and Aquinas boys basketball lost to Regis 63-47.
