Aquinas Football punches ticket to State

Aquinas Football earned a 28-18 win over Wittenberg-Birnamwood Friday night in Wisconsin Rapids to punch the program’s first ticket to State since 2007.

The Blugolds were held scoreless in the first half but found a rhythm when they needed it most.

Aquinas heads to Camp Randall Stadium next Thursday for the WIAA Division 5 championship game. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. against 11-2 Mayville.
