Aquinas marches on to Level 2 with 30-6 win vs. Spooner

No. 1 seed Aquinas Football kept its perfect season going Friday night at UW-La Crosse with a 30-6 Level 1 playoff win over the Spooner Rails.

Despite two first half fumbles, the Blugolds built a 16-6 lead at halftime. The knockout blow came in the third quarter when Aquinas halted a long Spooner drive, resulting in a turnover on downs. Aquinas then marched down the field and punched in a touchdown run by Joe Penchi.

Aquinas next faces Stanley-Boyd in Level 2.
