Aquinas, Viroqua tennis athletes reach Individual State
Two Aquinas singles players and one Viroqua doubles duo earned trips to WIAA State Tennis thanks to strong performances at Thursday’s sectional in Altoona.
Aquinas No. 1 Danica Silcox clinched a trip by taking third, and Kate Fortney won the No. 2 flight to join her next week in Madison.
Viroqua’s Cammie Leer and Anneka Cress became the first Viroqua girls tennis athletes to reach State thanks to a fourth place finish in the top doubles flight.
