Area business leaders look ahead to 2017
LADCO hosts 45th annual meeting
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — Area business leaders are taking a look back at 2016 while also looking to the future.
The La Crosse Area Development Corporation, or LADCO, held its 45th annual meeting this morning.
Representatives from more than one hundred private sector businesses and nine municipalities gathered to hear more about the economic growth of the La Crosse area over the past year.
LADCO Executive Director James Hill says 2016 was a good year, thanks in large part to La Crosse’s building boom.
“Construction is critical not just because of the new building, the new outcome, it’s 18 to 24 months of economic activity,” said Hill.
Hill expects the La Crosse area to continue to see benefits from recent construction into next year.
