Area group brainstorms ideas to improve La Crosse neighborhoods

La Crosse Neighborhood Development Corporation met with community stakeholders

An area group is coming together to help revitalize La Crosse neighborhoods.

The La Crosse Neighborhood Development Corporation met with community stakeholders on Monday night to help create a better idea of their plans for the next 12 months.

The non-profit is creating ways to improve neighborhoods all across the city.

Over the next 4 to 6 months the group will be brainstorming ideas and hope to come to a point where they can begin raising money to start some of their bigger projects.

“We’ve kind of come up with the “whats”. What are we will really wanting to accomplish, and it’s neighborhood revitalization, and it’s improving home values, and asses values and these things, but really the how will be a very interesting question, because the how really has to be a good fit for the neighborhood we are working in,” said La Crosse Neighborhood Development Corporation President Mark Hammond.

The LNDC says they are always looking for help, whether it’s neighborhood advocacy or monetary donations.
