Bangor library dedicates its new community room
BANGOR, Wis. (WKBT)- A library in Bangor is getting a new community room.
The Bosshard’s announced their generous gift to fund the addition to the library.
The Friends of the Bangor Library also held a fundraising event to raise funds for equipment and furniture for the room.
The official name of the new room is the Arlan Schmidt Community Room.
“A lot of people here for a town of 1,400. I thought it was a great turnout, this library is well supported. Arlan was well known. He was active, he was on the church council, he was on the village council, he was very active in the community,” said Library representative, Bill Bosshard.
The name of the room was at the request of Bill Bosshard to honor his friend and co-worker for many years, Arlan Schmidt.
