La Crosse recovery center hosts event to make community aware
With it being national substance use prevention week, the Coulee Recovery Center is helping bring awareness to the community.
The recovery center is hosting a bike ride to bring the community together and make them aware of their resources.
The event will have food trucks, drinks, and education tools.
10% of the proceeds go directly to the recovery community.
“I just want them to know that there are these resources. I think a lot of times the issue is we have these resources available to the community and people just don’t know about them. Really, I just want to bring awareness to the fact that we do have all this support,” said event organizer Natalie Kozitzky.
The Coulee Recovery Center has recovery coaching, a drop-in center, and helps teach prevention in schools around the area.
