Area schools top annual Wisconsin report cards

Report looks at reading and math, growth, student preparation

ONALASKA, Wis. (WKBT) — Schools in our area are meeting the standards set by Wisconsin.

The Department of Public Instruction released its annual report cards Tuesday.

It shows that 98-percent of the districts in the state meet or exceed expectations. That includes every single one in our area.

The report cards evaluate schools based on reading and math achievement and growth, closing the achievement gap, and how prepared the students are for life after high school.

The Onalaska School district earned top honors in our area with a score of 79.7 out of a possible 100.
