Area weekend home show wraps up

Over 120 vendors participated this weekend

Area home builders spent the weekend showing off their products.

The La Crosse Area Builders Association held its annual home show at the Omni Center in Onalaska.

Over 120 venders from all over the coulee region were able meet with people in the community looking to build or remodel a house this year.

Organizers say having so many vendors available is a sign of a strong local economy.

“We are full this year and the economy in our area has turned around. We haven’t been this full since 2002. So we’re really happy that we have a huge turnout and we’re thankful that people are showing up as well,” said Kraig Lassing of Lautz Custom Builders.

Organizers estimate over 2,000 people showed up for this weekend’s event.
