Around 20 students from Madison area school suspended as part of investigation into shared nude photos

MIDDLETON, Wis. — Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District staff said around 20 high school students were suspended and received athletic code violations as part of an incident involving the shared photographs of minors in the community.
Additional suspensions and-or athletic code violations could be issued, said Perry Hibner the Director of Communications for the Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District.
The Wisconsin Department of Criminal Investigation is still investigating.
Earlier this month, the Middleton Police Department was notified that Middleton High School students may be involved in the incident. Officers are working with the school district to identify students who may have been victimized or were involved in sharing these photos.
