Art market held to support local artists

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT)- The River City Gallery and Art Market has partnered with the La Crosse Arts Initiative, the La Crosse Society of Arts and Crafts, and Downtown Mainstreet to put together an art market in downtown La Crosse.

The Market gives local artists a chance to show off their artwork and even make some sales.

“We just encourage the public to always think about how do you support the community. How do you support local artists? You attend art fairs, you go to galleries. You just make sure when you can you buy things from people in your community who make them and create them. And that’s kind of the way you support your community,” said the founder of River City Gallery and Art Market, Robin Moses.

The market happens on the second Saturday of each month.

The next two Art Markets will be on Saturday, August 14th, and Saturday, September 11th.
