Autopsy performed on body of Dubuque boater
DUBUQUE, Iowa (AP) — An autopsy has been performed on the body of a man who’d fallen from a boat into the Mississippi River in Dubuque.
The Dubuque Telegraph-Herald reports the man has been identified as 68-year-old John Roling, of Dubuque.
The state medical examiner’s office said Friday that the autopsy results won’t be completed for several weeks, until toxicology and other test results are available.
Roling’s body was found late Tuesday morning north of the Dubuque-Wisconsin bridge on the Wisconsin side of the river channel.
Authorities say Roling fell out of the speeding boat around 6 p.m. Monday, just south of Lock and Dam No. 11.
