Back to state for Bangor, as they beat River Ridge 62-54
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT)–After a back-and-forth first half, the Cardinals were able to pull away from the Timberwolves, 62-45.
A 13-2 run to open the second half helped Bangor bounce back.
“It’s awesome to be able to come back against a good team like they have been. Obviously, I think we were a team that early in the season wasn’t looked upon as ever reaching this destination. These kids have had the tenacity and desire to keep fighting, fighting, fighting every game. It showed last Thursday night and tonight, and here again, it’s a never quit effort from these kids,” said Coach Merlin Jones.
Bangor is joined by Black Hawk, Clear Lake, and Newman Catholic in region 5. Seeding will take place Sunday morning.
