Badger games impact local economy
Increased business at local restaurants, bars
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — Even though the game is happening seven hours away it’s still making a big economic impact right here in La Crosse.
“How many house parties were there on Saturday night, so grocery stores? How many people went out and watched the game at their favorite restaurant or favorite pub. My wife and I were at a restaurant Saturday night and spent the time watching the game and we went wild, like most people did, because it was just that exciting,” said La Crosse Area Visitor’s Bureau Executive Director Dave Clements.
The Rivoli Theatre aired the game Monday night in La Crosse. They aired the game on their big screen.
