Badger men’s hockey falls in NCAA regionals

No. 1 seed Wisconsin men’s hockey fell 6-3 to Bemidji State in the first round of the NCAA men’s hockey tournament Friday afternoon.

The Badgers fell behind by two goals early. Linus Weissbach brought one back in the second thanks to a Cole Caulfield assist, but the Beavers would score two more goals before the end of the second period to lead 4-1.

Caulfield scored twice in the third for the Badgers, but it wasn’t enough for a comeback.

Wisconsin finishes 20-10-1 this season for its best record since the 2013 season.
