Ballet La Crosse kicks off tenth season with performances of ‘Marushka’
LA CROSSE (WKBT) — Ballet La Crosse is hitting an exciting milestone.
The ballet company–part of Misty’s Dance Unlimited in Onalaska–is celebrating its tenth season.
This weekend they will perform ‘Marushka’ at the Weber Center.
The performances will feature young ballet dancers from the area and dance teachers say that this is a perfect opportunity for all students–no matter their interests.
“So the older kids may have aspiring dreams to be professionals one day or they do some other sport and this may be some cross-training or side passion that they may have,” said Amanda Schams, artistic staff for Ballet La Crosse. “So we can show some amazing talent in this, but also we can show that passion they may have.”
Dancers will be hard at work at rehearsal throughout the week for their three performances on Saturday and Sunday.
