Bangor man sentenced to five years in prison

30-year-old Jesse Turnmire gets five year sentence

LA CROSSE, Wis. — A Bangor man gets a five year federal prison sentence for possessing firearms as a convicted felon.

30-year-old Jesse Turnmire was sentenced Thursday after pleading guilty in March for a shooting at a La Crosse apartment complex back in December of last year.

Turnmire has prior convictions for auto theft and drug possession.
His prison term will be followed by a three-year period of supervised release.
