Bayfield Apple Festival starts Friday

BAYFIELD, Wis. (AP) — A fall festival in northern Wisconsin is celebrating its 50th year.

More than 50,000 visitors from throughout the Midwest are expected at the Bayfield Apple Festival from Friday to Sunday.

There are caramel apples, apple pies, apple tortes, apple sundaes, apple cider, and apple bratwurst, mustard and butter.

There are also more than 60 orchard and food booths along with nearly 150 arts and crafts vendors in Bayfield’s downtown and the lakeside park.

Big Top Chautauqua’s Blue Canvas Orchestra is also expected to perform.
