Biden in Waterloo to speak to union members

WATERLOO, Iowa (AP) — Vice President Joe Biden is starting a two-day Iowa visit in Waterloo, where he plans to speak to union members about the economy.

It’s Biden’s third trip to Iowa this year, reflecting the state’s status as one of a half dozen that could go for either Democratic President Barack Obama or his Republican challenger, Mitt Romney, in the November general election.

The Obama campaign says that in Biden’s Tuesday morning speech, he will contrast Obama’s economic plan with Romney’s proposals.

Biden also plans stops in Dubuque and Clinton.
